Weekend of family fun exploring our roots in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Join your McRae Family for Friday night dinner at the acclaimed Mash House Brewing Company in downtown Fayetteville. Saturday's events include luxury coach transportation to the Heritage Food Tasting Event at the Sandhills Family Heritage Association in Spring Lake; a historical tour to McRae Town and gravesite of Willis McRae, Sr. born a slave in Robeson County yet managed to own 685 acres of land in Harnett County by 1868. Pay tribute to our ancestors at the Robeson County property where Willis' mother, Della McRae, born in Virginia 1768, bore fur children for her Scottish McRae slavemaster. Learn about our family's unique history and contribution to the founding of America. Enjoy a farm-to-table supper, fellowship and family entertainment at Lu-Mil Vineyard. Honor our roots with Sunday family worship.
Costs: Hotel - $120/night +tax, Mash House - $25 +/-, The $40 Fee includes - Luxury Transportation on Saturday,Heritage Food Tasting - $20, Lu-Mil Vineyard - $20. We will collect a tip for the driver on the bus.
